Roleplaying

Despite getting a bad reputation over the years, I've always found roleplaying a fascinating mental exercise.  I dabbled with it in high school but it wasn't until I got to Texas Tech that I found a group who actually knew what they were doing.  I do not drink, never have, so I in a college environment I did not have a lot to do on the weekends.  I found a group who played a wide range of board games, such Diplomacy, Axis & Allies, and 1830, and from them a group that did roleplaying.

When I joined the group in Lubbock had been going for nearly ten years and at this time there are still members of the original group playing together throughout the state.  I played in Lubbock for three years and then continued playing off and on at Texas A&M.  I have always found the games to be mentally stimulating and the people I play with on a regular basis are my best friends and have been since my undergrad days.  Below are some of the links I've discovered.  Most of them focus on the Hero Games System and on the concept of World Building, designing a reasonable fantasy roleplaying world.
